该片另一个比较耸人听闻的标题叫做“德·拉·科鲁兹的罪恶一生”，听来令人误以为是又一部以犯罪凶杀来刺激感官的电影，其实是对大众刊物标题的戏仿，影片内容大相径庭。富家子科鲁兹幼年即受到一个幻觉因果的诅咒：当他摇动一个八音盒时，他所厌恶的家庭教师中流弹身亡。当他成年后，再次偶遇童年八音盒，周围的人离奇地按照他幻觉图景，一一毙命。他成了一个没有犯罪行为的罪犯。 该片是布努埃尔大师创作中期的作品，技巧圆熟，但长期被认为是他的二流之作，缺乏早期的锐气和晚期的嘲讽精神，但后来又重新被评价为大师最富魅力的杰作之一。。Afghanistan 2014.
