故事讲述主角君丸美纪（广濑爱丽丝）在报纸上连载名为“失恋饭”的漫画，为了每日连载的素材而寻找失恋小故事，每个故事中失恋心碎的人都拥有难以忘怀的回忆味道，君丸会和他们一起品尝，同时谈论对方的失恋突事。。20世纪40年代，美国某个依靠石油而发展起来的小镇。当地最大富豪彻斯特·康维（Ned Beatty 饰）的儿子艾尔姆（Jay R.
