The fifth season of The Tom and Jerry Show premiered February 2, 2021 on Cartoon Network App and on the Boomerang TV channel on 15th February.。曾赢得奥斯卡的Steven Zaillian继HBO迷你剧《罪夜之谜 The Night Of》后再一次负责剧集项目，他执笔兼导演的剧集是Showtime 8集剧《天才瑞普利 Ripley》，即是Patricia Highsmith笔下的著名反社会人物。 Steven Zaillian会负责首季大部份集的编剧及导演工作，该剧会采用《The Talented Mrs. Ripley》﹑《Ripley Under Ground》﹑《Ripley’s Game》﹑《The Boy Who Followed Ripley》﹑《Ripley Underwater》五部小说的内容，讲述Tom Ripley如何由一名骗徒成为连环杀手的心路历程。 剧集版背景为60年代的纽约，Tom Ripley（Andrew Scott饰）被一个富豪招募，让他到意大利说服富豪的浪子...。该剧讲述了1927年时，蒋介石和汪精卫先后发动反革命政变，大革命遭到失败。面临严峻考验的中国共产党人为挽救危局，发动了八一南昌起义，南昌起义打响了武装反抗国民党反动派的第一枪的故事。。
