本剧采用诙谐不失庄重的手法，探讨多数人不愿面对的死亡课题。 一家圆福生命礼仪集团，是殡葬业在台湾排名第三的企业。这一批分发到圆福生命三处的新人中，最受瞩目的是晓恩（黄姵嘉饰），她能说善道肯学耐操还仗义执言，却让晓恩的直属长官红牌礼仪师阿圣（吴慷仁饰）头痛不已，两人就此冲突不断。 新人里还有胆小体弱的贵意（林雨宣饰）、平日嘻哈却不敢承认自己同志性向的麦笑（邱德洋饰）、眼高手低的Johnson（郭鑫饰），加上集团里的权威司仪万哥，以及赚钱为导向的长官秋老大（柯淑勤饰）… 这群礼仪师们在面对丧亲客户的服务过程中，也各自面临不同的人生课题。。In The Nightmare, director Rodney Ascher (Room 237) has done just that.
