林苏高考前，林母查出癌症晚期，为了不耽误林苏高考，也为了让女儿在世上有个依靠，和林父用性命救下的兄弟周建辰结婚，希望周建辰能帮忙隐瞒自己的死讯，能在自己死后能照顾林苏，但林苏却因为对两人结婚不满心生叛逆，不愿回家，也因此错过了送母亲最后一程。Set in the country-town of Upson Down, the comedy drama follows eleven-year-old Annie Shearer and her adopted stray dog Runt, as they try to save the family farm by competing in the Agility Course Grand。
