Spain, late 1980s. Newcomer Sara tries to fit in with the other teens in this tight-knit small town in the province of Tarrgona. If only she were more like her extroverted best friend, Rebe. They go out one night at a nightclub, on the way home, they come upon a little girl holding a doll, dressed for her first communion. And that's when the nightmare begins.。山菊（王力可 饰）被人贩拐走买到了大山之中，逃跑偶然遇见了钟老汉（村里 饰），钟老汉将山菊带回家中，他的儿子石根（施权展 饰）误以为山菊是父亲给自己买来的媳妇，哪知道个性刚烈的山菊宁愿和下毒药寻死也不愿同他亲近。误会解除了，钟老汉一家人悉心照料卧病在床的山菊，之后联系了山菊的家人前来接她回家。 在等待家人到来的过程中，山菊来到了无人管理的山村小学，成为了那里的老师。钟老汉和老伴双双病倒，山菊为了报恩决定照料他们康复再离开。在此过程中，山菊和学校的孩子们之间产生了真挚的感情，在她准备离开的那天，孩子和乡亲们的依依不舍感动了山菊，她决定就此留下。。
