The film tells the story of three people for a year: a son (Magimel) diagnosed with cancer, a mother (Deneuve) suffering from helplessness and a doctor (Cécile de France) to do her job: One year and four seasons for these three characters to deal with the disease, to tame it, and to understand what it means to die while alive.。程恪为追寻艺术辞掉原有工作，与江予夺不打不相识，还成了他的房客，从此开始了新生活。这两个不同工作领域的陌生人一开始冲突不断，从相互嫌弃到互相理解，通过努力和奋斗，各自收获了成功，朝着美好的未来前行。。
