But the boy will begin to question the true nature of these apparitions, having to face the truth about his father's destiny and the evil force that threatens to consume him.。故事发生在一个非常炎热的夏天，久坂悠（岸尾大辅 配音）是一名看上去对一切都毫不在意，非常冷漠的男子高中生。某日，一位名叫夜明瑛梦（水树奈奈 配音）的少女出现在了他的面前，而紧随其后对她进行攻击的，是名为魂兽的可怕怪物。 魂兽激发了隐藏在阿悠体内的特殊能力，原来，阿悠是一名魂兽使，能够通过操纵魂兽来获得强大力量，然而，操纵魂兽也要付出相应的代价，在操纵魂兽的同时，阿悠的心灵也会遭到黑暗的侵蚀，如果阿悠的精神来到了濒临崩溃的边界，他将彻底的被魂兽所吞噬，再也恢复不成人类的模样。。
