民国初年，被誉为“东方大魔王”的民间魔术艺人张若松因表演炮打紫金冠讥讽了刚刚称帝的袁世凯，被通缉流亡他乡。他化名陈先生结识了“麻姑仙女”杜芳冰，，并随杜家魔术班子一起前往杭州。杜若冰打出“东方大魔王关门弟子”的旗号招徕观众，张若松亦尽全力帮助他们筹划演出。当张若松演出时，其真真假假的技艺令西洋魔王目瞪口呆，眼花缭乱，台下的打手也无法下手。洋魔王妄图杀害“东方大魔王”，张若松登台前收到了有刺客暗杀的便条……。A new film from acclaimed filmmaker, Briar March.
