Barbara Hershey is great...。1946年夏，内战全面爆发。国民党留美飞行员丁兆瑜（徐敏 饰）等人回国，受到蒋介石（赵恒多 饰）接见。丁兆瑜主动请缨留在战斗机中队，不久，被派往前线轰炸解放区。面对满目生灵涂炭，丁兆瑜内心充满痛苦迷惘。丁父（彭奇愚 饰）研制的万能导航仪获女实业家端木丽婷（张燕 饰）青睐，丁兆瑜由此与端木相识相爱。由于端木不肯向当局转让专利权，被诬以汉奸罪名，并被查封了工厂，端木不甘受当局诬陷迫害，自焚铭志。丁兆瑜终于从痛苦中觉醒，他不甘继续沉沦下去，决心弃暗投明。丁的举动被田副官（赵笑明 饰）察觉，田欲置丁于死地，却被一直暗恋丁的秘书梅娜（夏慧 饰）打死......。
