该剧讲述的是1949年西南全境尚未解放，各方面的敌人内外勾结企图阻挡人民币的发行，一帮金融战线上的尖兵们在与敌人周旋的过程中利用奇计保护国家财产安全的故事。。An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each. When they are released from prison they start out to collect the money they had stolen and which George had hidden in a hollow tree during the chase in which they were caught.
