Sam's cases involve a series of revenge killings by a former Auschwitz prisoner| the mysterious deaths of teenage girls killed 15 years apart in Norway| a suspicious suicide and a beautiful Nun in a convent by the sea - very different stories, all employing Sam's expertise to the maximum.。1992年，罗俄米的丈夫马达官，因为恐惧97，带着妻子和两个儿子，迁往马来西亚定居。可是，马达官不幸于三年后车祸离世，他的两个儿子继承父业，并分别娶了当地的女子路芙及小华为妻。路芙是个孤儿，自小就有发恶梦的习惯，所以她常常活在恐惧之中。再过几年，罗俄米的两个儿子亦相继死去。马来西亚经济衰退，更令她一贫如洗，罗俄米决定返回香港。小华悄然引退，唯有路芙愿意忍受贫穷，跟着她的奶奶去香港，她觉得奶奶正义并且善良。经过十年的洗礼，香港已是人面全非。。讲述的是女儿惠英(金惠允饰)挖掘遭遇突如其来的事故中父亲行迹的故事。。
