He's very handsome, has very good looks, ...。本片是导演扬•特洛尔1971年的名作《大移民》的续篇，两部电影均改编自Vilhelm Moberg的The Emigrants系列小说。本片取材此系列的后两部小说，The Settlers 和The Last Letter Home，讲述一批瑞典移民在19世纪中期的明尼苏达州建造家园的故事。正在与妻子闹分居的阿孝眼看就要步入不惑之年，因为制作的剧本无人赏识而回到老家与哥哥阿胜一起生活。阿孝通过损友藤村结识了凉子，本想把凉子介绍给哥哥而频繁约她见面，谁知凉子却对阿孝动了感情。另一方面，妻子最终还是提出离婚，虽然想拼命挽回，但是电影的企划案也并不顺利...。
