1937年，野心勃勃的日本帝国主义蠢蠢欲动，蓄谋发动侵华战争。为了确保侵略行径顺利进行，日方通过秘密设立的特务机构从事各种情报搜集和破坏活动。在此过程中，蓝衣社也中了日方的诡计，情报站遭到炸弹袭击。担任情报站顾问的农初民（刘交心 饰）找到文武双全却挥金如土、醉生梦死的公子哥傅约翰（陈冠霖 饰），说服他参加盗取日本特务机关密钥的九耳犬计划。 以此为契机，一心享受人生的约翰和共产党建立了联系，而这个风流倜傥、玩世不恭的公子哥将在连番钩心斗角、枪林弹雨的凶险斗争中，成长为一名足以担当起家国重任的义勇男儿……。The poet Dante is lost in a dark and gloomy wood.
