1949年解放前夕，曾联松还是上海一家通讯社的职员，当他看到报上征集新国旗的启示，就设计了一幅国旗图案寄到北京。没想到他设计的五星红旗被选定为新中国的国旗。半个世纪过去了，曾联松与所有的中国人一样伴随着共和国走过了艰辛的历程，所不同的是，他与这面旗更有许多特殊情感。。两个孤独的陌生人行走在路上——一位退休的澳大利亚警察与他的狗为伴，和一位丧偶的英国护士——他们相遇后，开始了一场在澳大利亚北部内陆的史诗般的冒险之旅。。In this "lost slasher film from 1978," a masked killer wages an unrelenting spree of murder, cannibalism, and necrophilia.
