根据童话《老鼠欺猫》改编。 小猫年幼无知，不重视学习，没掌握捕鼠的本领，老被老鼠欺负。它吸取教训，下决心学习，终于掌握了过硬本领，消灭了狡猾的老鼠。。故事发生在奥地利维也纳，丘托克（阿道夫·门吉欧 Adolphe Menjou 饰）虽然迎娶了年轻美貌的妻子米琪（玛丽·普雷沃斯特 Marie Prevost 饰），但他的婚姻生活却并不幸福，因为米琪是一个水性杨花的女人，结婚没多久就移情别恋了。米琪喜欢的是自己的好友夏洛特（Florence Vidor 饰）的丈夫弗兰茨（蒙蒂·布卢 Monte Blue 饰），对他百般引诱，而丘托克决定将此作为提出离婚的绝佳契机，于是雇佣了私家侦探（哈利·迈耶斯 Harry Myers 饰）想要得到米琪出轨的证据。 夏洛特当然明白米琪的狼子野心，于是对她处处提防，而因为米琪的介入，她和弗兰茨之间的感情也渐渐出现了裂痕。终于，在一次激烈的争吵后，弗兰茨选择了离家出走。。Vian McLean is an ex fighter who is filled with resentment.
