阿桓是一位非常纯朴的男生，他和来自大陆的张远，既是台北某一间大学电影研究所的同学又是室友。虽然两人因为两岸习惯不同，在相处中常闹出笑话，但长时间下来变成非常好的朋友。就连张远的女友莉莉都是阿桓的女友卤蛋妹介绍的。卤蛋妹是夜市公主，善于察颜观色；莉莉则是一位黑道老大的女儿，两人从高中同学开始一直是闺密。阿桓喜欢音乐，自组「拉拉山乐团」并担任主唱，课余时间就在知名的EZ5酒吧中驻唱。还有一年阿桓和张远就要毕业，张远选择以拍摄电影做为他的毕业作品，阿桓则是继续为他的音乐之路努力。他们两人在面对前程与爱情交错之际，出现一连串的抉择决定着他们的未来……。The year is 1971 when the Pakistani Army is at war with the Indian Soldiers.
