三十六岁的明日香（天海佑希饰）是一位小有成就的建筑师，尽管曾经遭受抑郁症的困扰并因此和丈夫离了婚，但如今，早已经走出过去阴影的明日香显然拥有光明的未来，然而，明日香唯一放不下的，还是自己的女儿小田步（福田麻由子饰）。 一次偶然中，明日香被查出患有难以治愈的绝症，她的人生只剩下三个月的长度了。得知此消息的明日香第一个就想到了步，她希望能够和久未谋面的女儿共度自己最后的时光。就在此时，明日香的前夫小田聪（佐佐木藏之介饰）有了新的结婚对象，也就是说，步将要有一个新的妈妈了。面对这复杂的状况，明日香会做出怎样的选择呢？。Michael Keegan-Dolan is one of the most remarkable choreographers working in dance and theatre today.
