《服装里的中国》将以电影的拍摄方法和诗意的叙事风格，讲述中华服装自传统到现代的演变，从而体现中国社会的演变以及服装背后蕴藏的独特记忆。从服装的角度，去关心人，传达情怀，思考传统与现代的传承与融合。。故事发生在抗日战争初期。国军中校马烽（宋佳伦 饰）奉命组建“025敢死队”，以伺机袭击南京城内的日寇，他从被即将行刑的死囚中挑选了五个他认为合格的队员，他们是苏维埃政府军械部长麻老五（韩童生 饰）、中情局特工徐飞虎（杨猛 饰）、飞贼唐人杰（郭铁城 饰）、以及强大龙（铁鹤 饰）和朱大山。经过严格布置后，马烽带他们进入日寇铁蹄下的南京城，成功营救出两名援华的美国医生，并保护了他们所拍摄的南京大屠杀胶片。之后，他们冒着极大风险，成功刺杀日军驻南京最高指挥官熊本连太郎，并夺回国宝——传国玉玺。最后，他们为给殉难的三十万同胞复仇，决定在日军高官开会时与敌人同归于尽……。The year is 1989.
